About Us

Harper College is one of the nation's premier community colleges and one of the largest, serving about 35,000 students annually in Chicago's northwest suburbs. The College's academic programs prepare students for rewarding careers and for transfer to four-year universities. Harper offers associate degree and certification programs, advanced career programs, workforce training, professional development, continuing education classes, accelerated degree options for adults and developmental education programs.

Additionally, Harper offers business solutions through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Harper College and through its Harper College for Businesses arm. The SBDC provides seasoned business advisors to help small businesses identify, understand and overcome the challenges of running a successful business, and offers low or no-cost business advising workshops and classes. Harper College for Businesses works with area companies to provide employee training, development and ongoing education.
